Fair Chance

As I sat and watched the sunset
As my thoughts just wished on past
From the time that I last saw you
I wondered if our love would last
And even if it lasts forever
And through the dying light
I want us to live together
Through the wisdom and the might
But when someone lacks such wisdom
And it keeps driving them insane
What's the point in living
No one deserves such pain

And last night I dreamed I was with you
Yes, you are even in my dreams
And nothing bad had happened
You and me were clean
It was then when I first realized
Making out is not romance
And that is not what I ever wanted
I just wanted a fair chance
