Because the Lord is trying to Get us to give unto Get us to love And get us to learn And get us to simply obey him We must listen to God To get all the answers Listen to God To live a free life We must listen to God To overcome temptations Listen to God To overcome our fears Because the devil is trying to Get us to buy unto Get us to kill And get us to steal And get us to simply obey him When you have a bad dream All you have to do is wake up But when life gets harder And you don't know what to do You can ask upon God And he'll help you through Because the Lord is trying to Get us to give unto Get us to love And get us to learn And get us to simply obey him by David Close, Jr.
